How will you be assessed?
A BTEC in Travel and Tourism leads to useful, practical qualification for those seeking employment in a wide variety of arenas, such as airports, airlines, tour operators and tourist boards.
Pupils are rewarded along the way for consistent hard work and demonstration of their knowledge, without the added pressure of exams at the end.
A BTEC in Travel and Tourism offers active learning in a vocational context and builds confidence, competence and motivation in your learners.
Who should study it?
Pupils of all abilities often fail to see the link between academic learning and the world of work. A BTEC in Travel and Tourism changes that. The vocational learning style is completely different from the more traditional routes. Pupils may research their topics and present results in a wide variety of ways other than written text. They don’t have to work alone: group interaction can often play a part, for example though teamwork and role-play. They are learning in a practical way.
