Right to appeal

When requests for admission are refused the applicants (and students in the case of sixth form) will be informed in writing of the reasons by the Clerk to the Directors’ Admissions Committee together with their rights of appeal.

For admissions into the intake year through the co-ordinated admissions scheme, Nottinghamshire County Council (or the home local authority) will inform applicants of the outcome of their application together with their rights of appeal.

Appeals are heard by Independent Appeal panels. Applicants have a right of appeal within 20 academy days following the date of refusal. For further information and instruction on how to appeal, contact:

Key dates for admission appeals (2019/2020 start)

  • Offer date: 1 March 2019
  • Deadline for lodging appeals: 28 March 2019
  • Deadline for hearing on-time appeals: 17 June 2019
