International hockey experience for National student Joe

Joe H, who is in Chester house at the academy, has recently shown off his exceptional sporting talent as he received international recognition in Street and Ball hockey.

Joe represented Great Britain at the under 16 World Cup which took place in the Czech Republic at the end of June. The GB team were placed in a very strong group against Canada, Slovakia and the host nation and whilst they didn’t progress past the group stages, the team performed well in all games.

Together with this international experience, Joe also plays for the Nottingham Wolves, who are based at Southglade Leisure Centre, and has previously played for Nottingham Ice Hockey Club since the age of seven.

A superb accolade and a prodigious talent – we look forward to watching Joe’s onward progress in his sport.
