Junior Maths Challenge 2019

22 July 2019

Recently some of our year 7 and year 8 students received their certificates for sitting the Junior Maths Challenge this academic year. It is the UK’s most popular mathematics competition with over 300 000 students taking part each year.

Amy J got the best result in the whole academy and also qualified to do the Junior Kangaroo paper, for which students have to be invited to take part – a really great achievement. Additionally we had a number of students achieving the Gold award, which only the top 6.6% of students nationally achieve. Congratulations to Ethan G, Harry H, Jacob H and Amy J (again!) on reaching this level.

Another 27 students attained the silver and bronze levels of the awards – excellent work from our young mathematicians.
