We are delighted this term that a couple of new additions to our enrichment timetable are already proving popular with our students.
Earlier this week our STEM Club launched with great success. Students battled to build the highest structure out of pasta and marshmallows and get their whole team through a sheet of A4 paper, using teamwork and creative ways to solve both problems. Next week’s session is to design an on-street electric vehicle (EV) chargepoint that is innovative, iconic and beautiful as part of a national Eco Innovators competition.
If students in years 7-11 are interested in starting this project, they should come along next Monday after the academy day to lab 3 or speak with Mrs Cowie.
Together with this success, our Code Club (taking place on a Thursday after lessons) has grown in numbers since the first week with 32 students attending yesterday. If any student hasn’t yet been along, they can speak to Mr Lee about how to get involved.
