Students review shortlisted STEM prize books

Some of our students have been reading and reviewing the books shortlisted for the Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize.

The Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize aims to inspire young people to read about science and promotes the writing of excellent, accessible STEM books for under-14s. The prize is unique in that the winner is selected by judging panels made up of young people across the country.

Our student judging panel read and loved all of the books but we selected Planetarium as our winner. Planetarium is a beautifully illustrated book that explores the universe and everything in it.

All of the shortlisted books are available in the academy library to borrow and read – speak to Mrs Prestwood for more information or any guidance.
