On Tuesday 11 November, our whole school community came together to pause, reflect, and take part in a two-minute silence to mark Remembrance Day. We remembered with gratitude all those who gave their lives so that we could live in peace and freedom. A wreath was laid in the memorial garden at the front of school by our students who wore their Army cadet uniform to take part in the ceremony.
On Sunday 9 November, two of our year 11 student ambassadors represented the school at the Hucknall remembrance parade. It was with pride, that they laid a wreath on behalf of the National Academy at the cenotaph in Hucknall. It was a real privilege to see them showing such respect at this important event, to commemorate and remember those that have lost their lives in conflict from our community.
