Our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme is delivered in line with current Department for Education statutory guidance and reflects Ofsted expectations that schools provide a planned, progressive and inclusive careers education offer for all learners. The programme is structured around the Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance, ensuring that students receive a stable and well-communicated careers programme, meaningful encounters with employers and education providers, and impartial guidance to support informed decision-making at key transition points. Careers learning is mapped to the CDI Careers Framework, supporting students to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to manage their careers, explore opportunities, and make successful transitions throughout education and into employment. In accordance with the Baker Clause (Provider Access Legislation), the school ensures that students have opportunities to hear directly from a range of education and training providers, including further education colleges, sixth-form providers, apprenticeship and technical education providers. Provider encounters are planned across year groups and embedded within the wider CEIAG programme to ensure students are fully informed about academic, vocational and technical pathways.
